Product Description
Carboor Harvest Raw Hazelnuts are the best Barcelona or Ennis variety hazelnuts from our own farm and those of our grower partners around Australia, inspected from the cracking line and packed. Super delicious and not yukky and rancid like those in the supermarket, they are great to eat fresh or use as a base for home-made nut milk.
This product is as natural as you will ever get! It is not pasteurised so does carry residual risk of mould and salmonella (normally eliminated by the pasteurisation kill step) and is not treated with insecticide, so there is a minor risk of pantry moth. Pantry moth is a major problem with nuts as larvae lay eggs in the nuts before development of the hard shell during the maturation process on the tree.
This retail variant (1kg) is packed in re-sealable stand-up pouches and the wholesale variants (4kg and 12kg) are packed in cartons with plastic liners.

All hazelnuts are cracked at our cracking facility in East Wangaratta.

Allergen Advice
This product contains tree nuts and is made/packed on equipment that also packs other tree nuts (hazelnuts, almonds, pecans, walnuts, pistachios, macadamias, cashews, brazil nuts) and peanuts. We use best practice cleaning procedures but cannot guarantee the absence of any allergen.
Recommended Storage
This product should be stored in the original packaging or alternative airtight container in a cool, dark place. It is possible, but not necessary to refrigerate to extend shelf life.

What is the issue?
We try our best to provide our customers the most natural nuts, dried fruits and other products available on the market. For example, our hazelnuts are as nature intended.
During nut set, sometimes small moths can enter the nut prior to the hardening of the nutshell. Other producers manage the risk by pasteurising or spraying with insecticides. We don’t, and as a result it is possible to sustain an outbreak of pantry moth.
How you can extend shelf life
All nuts and dried fruit are semi-perishable products and should be stored in cool facilities (under 15C) to ensure long lasting freshness and also avoid growth
of pantry moths and other pests. Nuts do store well in refrigerated storage with no impact on product quality.
It is best to check your stock frequently and rotate stock – using a first-in, first-out process – and ensure use prior to the “best before” date to avoid spoilage.
Due to the products being natural, spoilage and pest infestation can occur due to
warmth and humidity even if the products are sealed – even unopened in the original packaging.

Shelf Life
When stored in accordance with the Recommended Storage practices identified above, this product has a shelf life of 12 months. It is marked with a batch number and “Best Before” date for consumers reference. The product should be consumed within 3 months of opening.

This was 2 example of the toasted hazelnuts in a salad, I also made some dark chocolate hazelnut tarts to die for. The quality and freshness is out of this world you really capture the tru flavors Not rancid or tasteless and price point almost the dse as my whistlers who buy less quality products that sit on there shelve. All hazelnut are same large size, and crunchy, no exceptions!!! I have compared theirs to other brand, theirs are huge!! I’m so glad that I found them, will definitely keep coming back!

Caboor hazelnuts feature in my breakfasts at home. They aren’t the only nuts, but I like to keep the flavour until the last. I top commercial no fruit museli with Pepitas, hazelnuts, almonds and walnuts, with blueberries and yoghurt before adding milk. Keeps me healthy and I love the flavours
The quality of these hazelnuts is top class. No beautiful cooking to show, instead a very happy customer who has made a big swap in his eating habits. He has given up biscuits, bread and cake for morning tea, and instead has a handful of these delicious hazelnuts and almonds. As a result, he is feeling great and has lost 5kg. I do plan to cook with these as well!

The hazelnuts were good. Since being in Turkey I have been looking for really fresh tasty hazelnuts. I roasted these myself and they were better than any other hazelnuts I've been able to find in Australia but not quite as good as the ones in Turkey

Since our inception in 2015, Carboor Farms has been dedicated to crafting premium nut-based products under our Carboor Harvest brand.
